🎓🔨 We ended National CTE Month with our annual "Career Day" at BCHS! Over 40 vendors joined us, offering pathways to entry-level jobs, technical and trade careers, college degree opportunities, and even military service. Our students had a great time exploring their futures and picking up some cool marketing swag along the way!
A huge shoutout to Chef Acree’s Wiregrass Technical College Dual Enrollment Culinary Arts students for preparing delicious lunches for our vendors. Special thanks to Quitman First Baptist Church and Young Farmer Teacher, Christy Thomas, for providing tables and chairs for the event.
As our students fulfill their #Pledge2Graduate, we love seeing them take the next step toward successful futures! 💪🎓

If you have had the pleasure of walking through the North Brooks Elementary School halls lately, you would not miss the beautiful art which adorns the walls. Mrs. Norman and her students have been creating stunning pieces! We love to see all of the talent that fills our hallways!!! #BCSFineArts #ArtsEdGA #StudentArtMonth

🌟 Board Member Spotlight: Jessica Goodman 🌟
As we continue celebrating Board of Education Appreciation Week, we’re highlighting the incredible leaders shaping our schools!
🔹 Jessica Goodman
🔹 Years on Board: 2
What inspired her to serve?
"As a graduate of Brooks County Schools and a parent of children currently in the district, I have a deep connection to this community. My experiences here shaped who I am today, and I want to give back by helping to create a strong educational foundation for future generations. As both a parent and an employer, I understand the challenges and opportunities within our system, and I’m passionate about improving the educational experience for all students."
What she loves most about Brooks County Schools:
"Our district is truly community-oriented—it feels like home. Teachers, staff, students, and families all come together to support one another. I still see some of my former teachers out in the community supporting kids, and now the next generation of educators is doing the same for today’s students. Trojan pride runs deep, and we love seeing fellow Trojans succeed in all aspects of life!"
Her advice for students:
"Hard work is something no one can take away from you. You may not be the most talented, but if you are the most dedicated and have the best work ethic, you will rise to the top. No matter what challenges come your way, the effort you put in will always be yours to keep—and it will lead to success in ways you might not expect."
Thank you, Mrs. Goodman, for your dedication and service to Brooks County Schools! ❤️💙

This past weekend, the BCHS Literary Team competed in the region competition held in Clinch County placing 3rd overall. Director Timothy Letheic Goins led students to this competition for the first time in many years, and our Brooks County students went above and beyond! We love to see this competition coming back to Brooks County! #BCSFineArts #ArtsEdGA

🚔💙 Honoring Leadership in Law Enforcement 💙🚔
It was truly an honor for BCSD Police Department’s Chief Casey Cope to attend Police Chiefs and Heads of Law Enforcement Agencies Recognition Day at the State Capitol! This event provided a valuable opportunity to network and engage in meaningful discussions with legislators about school safety.
Building stronger connections between our district’s law enforcement and state leaders ensures a safer and more secure learning environment for all our students. 💪🔴⚪🔵
