👀👂 Hearing & Vision Screenings Update!
This week, our 2nd and 5th graders at Quitman Elementary participated in their annual hearing and vision screenings on Monday, October 20th. These screenings help ensure every student can see and hear their best—key ingredients for learning success! 💪📚
A huge thank-you to our Brooks County High School Nursing students and Valdosta State University Speech and Language Pathology students for assisting with the process—because it truly takes a village! ❤️
Next week, we’ll be heading to North Brooks Elementary on Tuesday to complete screenings for 2nd and 5th graders, and to Brooks County Middle School on Thursday to screen our 8th graders.
If any concerns were noted, students will be retested in two weeks. If concerns persist, a letter will be sent home for parents or guardians.
Early detection makes a big difference—thank you for partnering with us to keep our students healthy and ready to learn! ❤️

🎉🏀Congratulations to our MS Basketball Programs! Our girls are picking up right where they left off defeating Scintilla and Lanier, while our boys earned a win over Lanier.
🎉🏹Congratulations to Bo Wade for pacing our Archery team in its first competition at Hahira with a 248. Noah Grage was close behind with a 242. Keep up the great work!
🎉🏃♂️🏃♀️Congratulations to our Cross Country team for its performance this Saturday at Cook! In the final Middle School meet of the season, Cora Angeles and Hannah Knight placed 14th and 15th, respectively, out of 72 runners. Ian DeSantiago placed 6th out of 97 runners, with Hagan Stalvey finishing 11th, pacing our boys to an overall 4th place finish. The high school will compete in the sectional competition at Wilcox Co November 1st.
🎉🏐Congratulations to our volleyball team on a fantastic season! Unfortunately, their year ended with a loss in the GHSA Playoffs, but we are proud of their Area Championship! Congratulations to the following for their All-Area Recognition:

🎉👧🏀Congratulations to our MS Girls Basketball Team for its big win over Tift County Saturday morning! The Boys Team will be joining them as they open conference play this week at Scintilla and Lanier.
🎉🏈A HUGE Congratulations to our MS Football Team for its hard-fought 20-14 SGAC Championship Victory over Berrien. Thank you very much to Coach Inman, Coach Glover, and our BCMS Cheerleaders for a great season! A big shout out to our FANS and our Empire of Sound Band for coming out in droves, helping to provide an unbelievable atmosphere...shaker cans, cowbells, and all!! A special thank you to all of our MS coaches, players, and managers for the hard work they put in all season. We are very proud of their accomplishments this year, finishing the conference schedule with a 7-0 record, and doing it in a first-class manner. Congrats men!
🏐Volleyball will host Woodville-Tompkins out of Savannah for the 1st round of the GHSA playoffs Wednesday, then will be at home again Saturday for the 2nd round (Times TBA).
