After our initial email Thursday, some Brooks County historians made sure to let me know the last time this feat was accomplished was in 2012. Not bad after a 13-year drought. Great job Coach Brown and the Trojan Golfers!
🎉👧👟💨Congratulations to our BCMS Girls Track team for winning Back2Back Conference Championships! Out of 9 teams, our girls compiled 131 points. The runner-up accumulated 78, just to put into perspective. Thank you to everyone who helped make our inaugural meet a HUGE success, led by the organizational prowess of Coach Troy Gay! The initial reviews were very positive, and I am sure you will be seeing more track meets at our beautiful facility!

The Girls have earned the 3 seed and will head to Portal HS on Tuesday, April 22nd, while the Boys are the 2 seed and will HOST Portal on Wednesday, April 23rd. Details TBA. 🎉🏹Congratulations to our Brooks County Archery Team for its showing at the CenterPoint State Championships in Columbus this weekend! 7 archers qualified to make the trip and compete in a 3D & Bullseye combined competition. Bo Wade paced the HS archers with an impressive personal record of 494, while Noah Grage led the MS with a 477. Thank you to Coaches Lisa Vincent, Harley Williams, and Carter Brogdon for their hard work getting the program off the ground. We are already excited for next year!

🎓✨ Honoring Our Aspiring Leaders – Cohort #3! ✨🎓
At the April 2 Board of Education meeting, Brooks County Schools proudly recognized the 2024-2025 Aspiring Leaders Cohort for their dedication to professional growth and leadership development within our district. 🙌
Throughout the year, these emerging leaders participated in monthly sessions, gaining valuable insights into district operations and honing their leadership skills in preparation for future roles. 🌟
The program, led by Ross New, Director of Human Resources, and Mrs. Syreeta Brown, Assistant Director of Human Resources, gave participants the opportunity to explore district functions and deepen their understanding of leadership expectations.
During the meeting, Mr. New acknowledged each participant’s commitment, and Board Chairman Larry Cunningham presented them with a Certificate of Course Completion. 🎉
