Based on updated information, it is the recommendation of the Brooks County Schools Emergency Management Team that Brooks County Schools close for the FULL day on Thursday, Sep. 26 and Friday, Sep. 27. What has changed? -Increased speed of the storm has expanded the potential earliest arrival times. - Per the National Weather Service (NWS), Helene "is shaping up to be an unprecedented event" for the region. -Anticipated prolonged recovery period. -Anticipated 6"-8" of rainfall. - Unrelated forecasted thunderstorms throughout Wednesday evening will directly affect the roads within Brooks County.

We feel this is the best plan to ensure safety and to get the game in this week. 🎟Pre-Sale Tickets will be offered tomorrow at BCHS from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. 🎉Additionally, our Homecoming festivities will be postponed to next week, coinciding with our game against Lanier County on Friday, October 4. Here's the updated schedule: Early Dismissal: October 4 @ 11:30 a.m. Senior Night: Pre-game ceremony honoring our seniors on October 4 Homecoming Court: Announced during halftime on October 4 Homecoming Parade: October 4 at 4:30 p.m. Line up at 4:00 p.m. at Veterans Stadium. Homecoming Dance: October 5 from 8:00 p.m.– 11:00 p.m. in the BCHS cafeteria. Thank you for your support and flexibility, Trojans! 💙❤️

Our BCMS Lady Trojans went 3-0 last week, not dropping a set in any of their victories over Baker Co, Mitchell Co, and Cook. Our HS Ladies ran their Area record to 6-0 beating Baker Co & Stewart Co. Keep up the great work!! 🎉🥎Congratulations to our BCMS Softball Team for its 17-3 statement win over Scintilla. That victory gives them a chance to possibly see the playoffs at the end of the week.
