📢 Great Morning, Trojan Nation!! 🔵🔴 This week does not see many athletic events, but the importance of our basketball region opener this Friday night can not be understated...and it's at OUR PLACE. Please plan on coming out to support both teams. Games start at 6:00.

Our Trojans' safety is our top priority. After careful consideration of the weather forecasts and recommendations from local authorities, there will be no school on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, due to the threat of inclement weather. We look forward to our Trojans returning on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

📢🔵🔴 Great Morning, Trojan Nation, and Merry Christmas! 🏀🎉 Congratulations to our Lady Trojan Varsity Basketball Team for its thrilling 45-44 victory over Cook in the only contest played last week. 🏀🎉 Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Basketball Team for a big win over Highland Christian Saturday night, 68-54. ⚠ Both teams will be on the road Tuesday at Valdosta in our only Athletic Action this week. 📢🎉🏀🏀Finally, a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our BCMS Girls Basketball Team for bringing the 2023 South Georgia Athletic Conference Championship back to Quitman for the 2nd year in a row! Coach Hadley and her Lady Trojans defeated Irwin County 60-30 in the final game, and I can promise you it wasn't that close. Our fans were unbelievable, as we easily outnumbered the home team while bringing amazing energy. Thank you to XTreme 4 with the T-Shirt Giveaway. This championship caps an undefeated conference season (also 2nd year in a row), and a regular season that saw only one loss (to Pine Grove, by 2 points...later avenged with a 9 point victory). A total number of wins for the season with the A and B programs was not ready at press time, but we know it was a bunch. Hats off to Coach Hadley, Coach Vinson, and Coach Reynolds, as well as their support group that ensures our Lady Trojans have a first-class experience, and do an impeccable job representing Brooks County Schools. Thank you to the players who work so hard to put such an exciting product on the court. We can not wait to see what the future holds!
