Brooks County Schools will open tomorrow - Tuesday, December 4. We are asking that parents meet the bus at the nearest paved road. We appreciate your patience as we worked with officials to make this decision. Parents can contact their child(ren)’s school directly if they have extenuating circumstances concerning travel.

We are in communication with Brooks County officials regarding the state of the our roads. Our Transportation department is also out assessing road conditions. We are watching the weather as additional rain is expected this afternoon. An announcement regarding the closing or re-opening of our schools for Tuesday will be made later today. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

The BCMS basketball game scheduled for today has been postponed due to hazardous road conditions and inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for December 8 at noon.

Early dismissal times for December 20th have been posted to our website and Facebook pages.

After consulting with the road department about the conditions of the road, Brooks County Schools will be closed tomorrow.

The Internet Workshop scheduled for tomorrow night at the J.H. Wells Center has been cancelled.

LifeSouth Bloodmobile is at the J.H. Wells Center today until 4:00 p.m.. Stop by and give the gift of life!

Brooks County Schools will be closed November 19 through November 23 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on Monday - November 26th.

There has been a train derailment that has blocked roads in the city. Please detour by using hwy 76 on the north end and Highland to Railroad St on the south end of the track. Please start your day earlier if possible.

Due to expected inclement weather, the annual BCHS community peprally/bonfire has been postponed until Nov 8th at 6 PM. BCHS will hold a PTO/Parent Advisory meeting prior to the Bonfire at 5:30. Come out and support our Football team as they enter the first round of the playoffs.

Due to possible inclement weather, the ECHOES 21ST CCLC Lights on Afterschool Celebration will be held at the Brooks County High School gym today. The program will begin at 4:15.

The JV Trojan game scheduled for today has been cancelled.

Join Dr. Vickie Reed, Superintendent, at the State of the Schools Address on October 22 at 5:30 p.m. This event is located at 1081 Barwick Road. A light meal and childcare will be provided.
