📢🔵🔴 Great Morning, Trojan Nation, and Merry Christmas! 🏀🎉 Congratulations to our Lady Trojan Varsity Basketball Team for its thrilling 45-44 victory over Cook in the only contest played last week. 🏀🎉 Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Basketball Team for a big win over Highland Christian Saturday night, 68-54. ⚠ Both teams will be on the road Tuesday at Valdosta in our only Athletic Action this week. 📢🎉🏀🏀Finally, a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our BCMS Girls Basketball Team for bringing the 2023 South Georgia Athletic Conference Championship back to Quitman for the 2nd year in a row! Coach Hadley and her Lady Trojans defeated Irwin County 60-30 in the final game, and I can promise you it wasn't that close. Our fans were unbelievable, as we easily outnumbered the home team while bringing amazing energy. Thank you to XTreme 4 with the T-Shirt Giveaway. This championship caps an undefeated conference season (also 2nd year in a row), and a regular season that saw only one loss (to Pine Grove, by 2 points...later avenged with a 9 point victory). A total number of wins for the season with the A and B programs was not ready at press time, but we know it was a bunch. Hats off to Coach Hadley, Coach Vinson, and Coach Reynolds, as well as their support group that ensures our Lady Trojans have a first-class experience, and do an impeccable job representing Brooks County Schools. Thank you to the players who work so hard to put such an exciting product on the court. We can not wait to see what the future holds! 🔵🔴📢 Great Morning, Trojans!! 🏀 Congratulations to our BCMS Basketball Programs. Our boys notched a win over Brookwood last week, while our girls were victorious over Clinch Co, Colquitt Co, Pine Grove, and TCC. The Pine Grove game avenged the "A" team's only loss of the year. The BCMS Girls will carry an undefeated region record and the 1 seed into their playoff bracket, hosting Dooly County tonight at 5. The BCMS Boys earned the 3 seed, and will be making a trip to Macon County this evening. Tipoff is at 4:30 🏀 Congratulations to our BCHS Boys and Girls Basketball programs; both picking up their first victories of the young season. The boys defeated Brookwood while the girls beat Worth County. The JV Boys also picked up a big win over Scintilla on Saturday. Coach Love, Coach Dennard, and their staffs really have our athletes playing an exciting brand of basketball. Come and catch them Tuesday night at home vs Cook! 📣 A BIG congratulations goes out to our GameDay Cheer Program, Coach Hux, and Coach Solomon. They performed in the state competition at Georgia State Friday afternoon, and more than doubled their score from last year.
