Meet the BCMS Administrative Team

Principal Christine Freeman is looking forward to the first day of school. Mrs. Freeman, along with Assistant Principals Derrick Jenkins and Maura Lewis, have been preparing for Brooks County Middle School students to return to campus.  “My goal for this year is to lead, support, and encourage the BCMS staff, faculty, and students as we Level Up towards academic excellence for the 21-22 school year.” stated Freeman.  Mrs. Freeman has 28 years of experience in education and has been serving the students in Brooks County for thirteen of those years as a teacher, CTAE director, and now principal.  Mrs. Freeman and husband, Maurice, enjoy spending time with their children Brandyn, Halle, Loren, Breanna, and Maurice along with their three grandchildren. She enjoys walking, shopping and reading.  Assistant Principal Derrick Jenkins has served the students in Brooks County for 16 years as a teacher, and assistant principal.  He and wife, Melissa, have two sons, Darius and Brandon. Mr. Jenkins enjoys landscaping, reading, and traveling. Assistant Principal Maura Lewis is beginning her fourth year with Brooks County Schools.  A veteran of fourteen years, Mrs. Lewis has served as a teacher, instructional coach and assistant principal. She and husband, Rick, are parents to Bentley and Miles. She enjoys going to the beach, exploring, reading and being a mom.
