Class of 2021 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Being named Valedictorian and Salutatorian are significant accomplishments for two members of the Senior class. The top academic average of the honor graduates is named Valedictorian and the second highest average earner is named the Salutatorian. Principal Chris Chastain recently announced the two top graduates from the Brooks County High School Class of 2021. Indiana Renfroe was named Valedictorian for the Class of 2021. Chastain stated, “Indiana Renfroe set a goal early in high school to be accepted by Georgia Tech. He strategically planned his rigorous courses in Advanced Placement and focused on his GPA to help him achieve early admittance to Georgia Tech. Indiana will be a great success as he focuses on details. He is the type of student that I would have enjoyed teaching in Math because of his desire to learn not only what but why. His academia, character and manners make him a well rounded student that is ready for a new challenge.” J’Shanti Watkins was named Salutatorian for the Class of 2021. “J'Shanti Watkins is a sweet, caring student. She is the type of student that every teacher desires to teach. She challenges herself by enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) Courses to increase her rigor and preparation for college. In addition to excelling in Advanced Placement and honors coursework, she has completed the Patient Care Technician certificate and CTAE Pathway through Dual Enrollment with Wiregrass Technical College. We look forward to her continued success in post secondary education and her career.” said Chastain. Congratulations to Indiana and J’Shanti!
