“My goal this year is to focus on students and not ‘stuff’. At Delta, we will be working on ‘keeping the main thing .....the main thing’. The new normal has presented so many things and people often forget the main purpose of it all which is our students. My focus will continue to be on producing student success.” said Lamar Thomas, principal of Delta Innovative School.  Delta Innovative School serves students in grades 7-12. Mr. Thomas came to Brooks County as a teacher 20 years ago. During his tenure in Brooks County, Thomas has served as a teacher, counselor, and graduation coach. He has also served as a football, track and basketball coach. Mr. Thomas and his wife, Reomona, are parents to Lamar, Jr (age 10) and Lauren (age 5). In his spare time, he enjoys sports, spending time with family, reading and staying active.
