BCMS Administrative Team

Principal Christine Freeman is looking forward to the first day of school. Mrs. Freeman, along with Assistant Principals Derrick Jenkins and Maura Lewis, have been preparing for Brooks County Middle School students to return to campus.  “We are excited to continue building a culture of high expectations and excellence for Brooks County Middle School” stated Freeman.  Mrs. Freeman has 28 years of experience in education and has been serving the students in Brooks County for eleven of those years as a teacher, CTAE director, and now principal.  Mrs. Freeman and husband, Maurice, enjoy spending time with their six children.  Assistant Principal Derrick Jenkins has served the students in Brooks County for 14 years as a teacher, and assistant principal.  He and wife, Melissa, have two sons. Mr. Jenkins enjoys working with the youth at his church.  Assistant Principal Maura Lewis is beginning her third year with Brooks County Schools.  A veteran of eleven years, Mrs. Lewis has served as a teacher and instructional coach.  She and husband, Rick, are parents to two sons. She enjoys going to the beach and reading.
