NBES: Brooks County Schools will dismiss school early on Friday at 2:00, December 17th, due to the Brooks County State Championship parade! The parade will take place on Court Street at 5:00.
Busses and car riders will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. All students should be picked no later than 2:15. No early check-outs will be allowed after 1:15 p.m.
Congratulations to our BCS Trojans! We can't wait to celebrate with our community!

Congratulations to our NBES Spelling Bee Champions! Christian O'Leary is our Spelling Bee winner and Max Castillo is the Runner Up. They will be competing in January at our system-wide Spelling Bee competition. Great job by all the contestants!

The buses will drop off and pick up on the side of the school (bus ramps), and car riders will drop off and pick up on the front of the school. Please review the map to see the changes. NBES will hold Jump Rope for Heart Wednesday and Thursday! Kinder and 1st and 4th and 5th grades will jump on Wednesday, and 2nd and 3rd grades will jump on Thursday! Remember, you must have a signed permission slip to participate. Wear comfy shoes, and bring a water bottle. We can't wait for a fun day as we fundraise for the American Heart Association!

NBES: Tomorrow is our Fall Fun Run, hosted by our PTA! It will be held during K-5 exploratory time, and the students will enjoy popcorn, cotton candy, face tattoos, music, and a photo booth. Non-participating students will go to exploratory classes. It's not too late to sign up, but students will need to bring $10 to their homeroom teacher by 8:30 am in the morning. Dress warmly, and remember to wear your t-shirt if you purchased one!

NBES will celebrate Red Ribbon Week next week, October 25th-October 29th! We will have dress up days, trivia, and give-aways. See the attached schedule for each day's theme!

NBES: Fall Picture Day will be Wednesday, October 13th. Flyers will be sent home in student folders this week with more info!


NBES: Remember tomorrow is Fire Safety Day! Students, make sure you are here to see to fire trucks, the hoses, and the cool equipment!


NBES: Remember, Brooks County Schools will dismiss school early on Friday, October 1st for Homecoming. NBES will start to dismiss car riders at 11:15 a.m, and buses will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. No early check outs will be allowed after 10:45 a.m. Please plan accordingly. We hope to see everyone at the Homecoming Parade on North Court Street at 4:30 pm!

NBES: Remember next week is Homecoming Week! Monday kicks the week off with "Florida Day". You can wear tropical prints, sunglasses, and flower necklaces. We can't wait to see everyone show that Trojan Pride!

Congratulations to our NBES August Student and Teacher of the Month--Avery and Ms. Simpson!
Our Student of the Month is Avery Spires, a second grader in Ms. Morse's class. Avery had lots of Good Job Coupons this month, and all of her teachers agreed that she is respectful, responsible, and compassionate. Avery received a goodie basket, a principal phone call home, and a yard sign to showcase her accomplishment.
Our Teacher of the Month is Candace Simpson, our Gifted Coordinator and teacher. She was nominated numerous times on this month's ballot, and has received awesome shout outs from parents and teachers alike! Ms. Simpson received a tote bag, a candle, a Chick-Fil-A gift card, and a yard sign.
Many awesome students and teachers were nominated. We can't wait to see who will make next month's list!



North Brooks Elementary will hold two special events this week! Kindergarten Kickoff will be held Wednesday, August 4th, from 12:30-1:30 for all incoming NBES kindergartners and parents. Open House will be held Thursday, August 5th, from 4:00-6:00. The first day of school is Monday, August 9th. We look forward to seeing all of our students and families this week and next!
