Pre-K and the Preschool (ages 2&3) will be closed on Monday, October 14th for Fall Break. Classes will resume on Tuesday. October 15th.

The students at Brooks County Schools Early Learning Center participated in an apple taste testing event today. They learned that all apples have seeds, cores and taste differently. This is part of our Health M Powers initiative.
We are looking forward to seeing all parents tomorrow, from 4:00 -5:30 PM, for our first Parent Make and Take of the school year.

We are thankful that we had the opportunity to celebrate our grandparents yesterday. The Early Learning Center is wishing each and every one of you a “Happy Grandparent’s Day!”
Reminder: Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day to pay for Grits for Grans. Breakfast will cost $2.75 per Grand.
Please don’t forget to sign up for your child’s Class DoJo. This is an excellent communication tool for both you and your child’s teacher. You can monitor your child’s behavior and message the teacher. Please keep in mind that your child’s teacher will check messages during nap time (11:55AM-12:55PM) and after school (3:00PM- 3:30PM).
In honor of all grandparents the Brooks County Schools Early Learning Center will host its 1st Annual Grits for Grands breakfast, Thursday September 5, 2019 at 8:00AM. Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 8th and we are calling all grandparents or grandparent figures to eat breakfast with their students. Breakfast will cost $2.75 per Grand. This is a pre-paid meal only, and all payments are due by Tuesday, August 27, 2019, if you would like to reserve a spot.
Don't forget Field Day is tomorrow, May 10. Please dress your student in appropriate attire.
Don't forget that Friday, May 3, is the last day to order Field Day t-shirts!
Don't Forget our Spring Fling is tonight from 5-7 p.m. on the track behind the ELC! If you are attending please park in front of the gym or in the parking lot of the Board of Education office.
Tomorrow is Picture Day!!!
DECAL and Georgia’s Pre-K program are partnering with the Path2College 529 plan, the official college savings plan for the state of Georgia, to sponsor this year’s Pre-K to college sweepstakes.
Four children from across the state will be randomly selected to win a $1,529.00 contribution for their Path2College 529 plan. The four Pre-K programs that the winners attend will also win a $529.00 check made payable to their Pre-K program.
