NBES will host a 4th grade Lunch and Learn on Monday, November 4th from 11:00-12:05. Join us to get updates on your child's progress and check in on this year's learning. Families may eat lunch with their child after ($4.00 guest lunch). Reservations must be made by Friday, November 1st.
NBES will host a 3rd grade Lunch and Learn Monday, October 14th, from 12:10-1:15. Join us for valuable info on your child's progress, and stay to eat with your student. Reservations are due by 10/11.

🏫Brooks County Schools will resume normal operations on Monday - October 7.
If any students are unable to attend due to power outages or impassable roads, parents may contact their child's school on Monday morning.

Dear Trojan Family, As we recover from this unprecedented event, know our hearts are with you and your families. At last report, there was no accurate estimation for restoration of power in the near future. Many of our roads continue to remain unsafe and impassable, especially for school buses. Our Emergency Management Team remains in constant contact with Brooks County EMA and other public safety entities. Resources are spread thin not only in Brooks County, but the entire region. With that, we have made the decision that we will not be returning to school for the week of September 30 through October 4. Now is the time for recovery and healing. 📣Brooks County Schools Announce Early Release and Closure Due to Severe Weather📣
The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our highest priority, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
NBES: We are excited to celebrate Brooks County Homecoming Week, September 23rd-27th. We will celebrate the following days: 9/23-Monster Monday (cute monsters, only), 9/24- Dress A Decade, 9/25- PJ Day, 9/26- Group/Twin Day, and 9/27- BC Spirit Day! We can't wait to see all of our students show their Trojan Pride!
NBES : Please join us for our 1st PTA meeting of the year. We will meet Wednesday, September 18th at 4:00 in the NBES Media Center. All are welcome. We hope to see you there!
NBES will host a Fifth Grade Lunch and Learn Monday, September 16, 2024, from 11:45 to 12:50. Families will get info, ask questions, and make take-home learning activities. Afterward, families will be invited to have lunch with their fifth graders. All guest lunches are $4.00 and require prepayment. Sign up flyers went home earlier in the week.

NBES will host a Grandparents Lunch on September 11th. Guest lunches are $5, and reservations must be made. Flyers were sent home with students yesterday. Our fall Scholastic Book Fair will also be open. Please reserve your spot by Friday, September 6th!
Our area continues to receive high volumes of rainfall, which is predicted to last through the evening into the early morning hours. Large portions of Brooks County are without power. There are multiple reports of localized flooding and impassable roads. Based on the current conditions, and the projected longevity of this event, Brooks County Schools will postpone the first day of school until Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
NBES students in 3rd-5th grades will take the Georgia Milestones Assessments in ELA this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please make sure your students are well rested, on time, and ready for a great morning. Encourage them to take their time and do their best! #goodthingsgrowhere
Brooks County Schools will remain closed tomorrow - Friday - April 12, 2024.
Due to the volume of rain our area has received, there are numerous road closures throughout the county that include major routes as well as dirt roads and city surface roads. In conversations with local EMA and the county road department, they are still discovering roads that are impassible with some being completely washed out.
We will continue to receive flood waters from northern regions via multiple tributaries.
These factors not only create a serious potential hazard for our buses and the students that ride them, but for our staff attempting to safely navigate these roads in order to get to work.
