It was brought to my attention that while permission slips were sent home last Monday, many were not returned. To ensure all students can participate in this important learning opportunity, our 7th graders will attend the Honorable Distinguished REACH Ceremony at the BCHS Performing Arts Center (PAC) this morning.
Students will be escorted by staff and will walk to the PAC.
If itβs raining, we will ride a BCS bus for safety.
This situation is also an example of why we are working with students on the importance of responsibilityβtaking forms home, sharing them with parents/guardians, and returning them on time.
Next steps (please help us keep accurate records):
Teachers will send another permission slip home today.
Please ask your child for the form, sign it, and return it to their homeroom teacher tomorrowβWednesday, October 29, 2025.
Our goal is to have parent/guardian permission on file for all students.
If you do not prefer for your child to attend, please call the school immediately at 229-588-2342 and notify our secretary by 8:20 a.m. today.
I apologize for the short notice. This ceremony is a wonderful program that celebrates academic excellence, and we believe all students will benefit from attending.
Thank you for your partnership,
Hilda Edgerton Miles, Principal
Brooks County Middle School
Thank you for making attendance a priority for your students! Our Trojans are showing up every day and coming ready to take learning to the Next Level! π
Weβd like to share an important reminder about tardy students:
β° Itβs very important that all Trojans arrive on time each day.
π©π½βπΌ Parents: If youβre dropping off and running a little late, please remember to park and escort your student into the building so that you can sign them in with our attendance secretary.
This has always been our school expectation, but lately weβve noticed an increase in students being dropped off late without a parent escort. Please help us by following this procedure to keep all students accounted for and safe.
π We appreciate our families for supporting daily, on-time attendance and canβt wait to celebrate our Perfect Attendance students this Friday, October 31st!
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to Next Level Trojan Pride! πͺπβ€οΈ
