Brooks County High School

Reminder: Miss Brooks County High School Pageant will be held this Saturday night, February 11th at 6:00 PM in the BCHS PAC. Ten contestants from grades 9 to 12 will take the stage to compete in stage introduction/casual wear, evening gown and the top 5 will have an on stage question. Contestants will complete personal interviews on Saturday morning with the panel of judges. Our judges are from areas outside of Brooks County and have no connection with any contestants. We are excited to have two Miss America certified judges as well as one Miss USA certified judge. Come out and support our contestants as we crown the 2023 Miss Brooks County High School. Tickets are available at the door for $5.00. The pageant is sponsored by the Brooks County High School Student Government.

ECHOES parents and students (grades 6th-12th) are invited to attend a VSU special presentation @ Brooks County High School Cafe', Saturday, Feb.11th 2023 (10-3 p.m.)

Students in Mrs. Snow's Entrepreneurship Essentials Class constructed a marshmallow tower in order to identify the different types of business ownerships and be able to compare and contrast the different types. #CTAEdelivers

CTAE Students from Healthcare Science and Business Education attended Wiregrass Technical College's GeekFest. This month is CTAE Month. Our CTAE teachers provide many opportunities to explore postsecondy options. #CTAEdelivers

BCHS Juniors and Seniors, Colquitt EMC is currently accepting applications for the Washington Youth Tour, an all-expense paid leadership trip for juniors/seniors who reside in the household of a Colquitt EMC member. Seniors see information on local scholarships. The scholarships are due to either the counselor, sponsor or in a portal on the date located on the file name that the document is saved as in the list. Late Scholarships will not be accepted. Thanks to the Greater Brooks County Community for investing in the future educational endeavors of our youth. *Please check the site weekly as scholarships are added as sponsors make them available to the school counselor's office. All seniors have been given the handout with the QR code.

BCHS announces Commencement for Class of 2023! Graduation will be held on Friday, May 19th beginning at 5:45 PM in the BCHS Gymnasium. Graduation practice will be held on Thursday, May 18th 3:00 PM and is mandatory for all seniors participating in the ceremony. The number of tickets per senior will be determined at a later date when the number of graduates are determined.

Brooks County High School hosted "Armed Forces Senior Day" on January 24th. Each branch of the military was given 10 minutes to address the senior class. Students were allowed to ask questions and speak with recruiters at the end of the event. As a conclusion to the event, Brian Law, School Counselor and Dr. Chastain, Principal addressed the seniors about: information on local scholarships, athletic financial aid contracts at the next level, college applications, FAFSA (federal finacial aid), class rank, diploma seals, and post secodary planning. Delta Innovative School Seniors joined the event with School Counselor, Tomeisha Williams. Brooks County Schools will hold the annual "Career/College Fair" on Thursday, February 23rd from 8:30am to 12:30 pm for 6th to 8th grade students. Our goal is to make sure students graduate both college and career ready with all options including Military service options. Colleges and Military recruiters are invited and set up information booths weekly during lunches at BCHS.

BCHS Seniors: Armed Forces Day is tomorrow, January 24, 2023, during advisement. Recruiters will be presenting information about their branch and military service options.

BCHS Families: Please encourage your student to do their best on the reading level testing that is taking place tomorrow. This test will influence your child's schedule. #bringthathammer

Calling all Trojan Fans! Help us support our basketball teams, girls and boys, and show up this Saturday night! It will be a black out in the stands and a Trojan victory on the court! #GoTrojans

Brooks County Schools CTAE is asking for Vendors for the Annual Career Fair to be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 for 7th to 12th grade in the BCHS Gymnasium.

BCHS ECHOES will provide parent orientation on Thursday, 1-12-23, 5 PM, for students in need of tutoring/credit repair and character educational services . Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium located at 2330 Webster Rd.
