📢 Important Announcement: Return to School After Hurricane Helene We hope this message finds all of our Brooks County families safe and recovering well after Hurricane Helene. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storm. ❤️🤍💙 🏫Brooks County Schools will resume normal operations on Monday - October 7. If any students are unable to attend due to power outages or impassable roads, parents may contact their child's school on Monday morning. We look forward to welcoming everyone back and continuing our journey together. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure a smooth transition back to school. Dear Trojan Family, As we recover from this unprecedented event, know our hearts are with you and your families. At last report, there was no accurate estimation for restoration of power in the near future. Many of our roads continue to remain unsafe and impassable, especially for school buses. Our Emergency Management Team remains in constant contact with Brooks County EMA and other public safety entities. Resources are spread thin not only in Brooks County, but the entire region. With that, we have made the decision that we will not be returning to school for the week of September 30 through October 4. Now is the time for recovery and healing. Brooks County Schools remains committed to the safety of our staff, students, and community. We will keep you posted on any new developments. What has changed? -Increased speed of the storm has expanded the potential earliest arrival times. - Per the National Weather Service (NWS), Helene "is shaping up to be an unprecedented event" for the region. -Anticipated prolonged recovery period. -Anticipated 6"-8" of rainfall. - Unrelated forecasted thunderstorms throughout Wednesday evening will directly affect the roads within Brooks County.

BCHS Student Government Students of the Month (September) Winners were nominated by the various departments, all students received a certificate and goodie bag and were placed into the overall prize Wheel Decide and an overall winner was chosen. Serenity Fulton was our overall winner and received a Tumbler full of candy and a cash prize. Here's the updated schedule: Early Dismissal: October 4 @ 11:30 a.m. Senior Night: Pre-game ceremony honoring our seniors on October 4 Homecoming Court: Announced during halftime on October 4 Homecoming Parade: October 4 at 4:30 p.m. Line up at 4:00 p.m. at Veterans Stadium. Homecoming Dance: October 5 from 8:00 p.m.– 11:00 p.m. in the BCHS cafeteria. Thank you for your support and flexibility, Trojans! 💙❤️

Trojan Power, Titan Takedown: Brooks County Dominates Homecoming 2024! Homecoming week begins today!!! We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our Trojan pride with all of you! This is a special time for our school and community to come together, show our spirit, and make lasting memories. As we gear up for spirit days and other festivities, we want to remind everyone to keep the fun clean and positive. We ask that students avoid bringing or wearing anything associated with alcohol, drugs, or weapons. Our goal is to create a safe and respectful environment where everyone can enjoy the week’s activities. Let’s make this Homecoming one to remember for all the right reasons! Stay safe, be respectful, and show that Trojan pride in the best way possible. We’re looking forward to a fantastic week together! Go Trojans!!
