Seniors:
Any senior interested in the Hagan (full ride with stipulations) Scholarship , the deadline to apply online is December 1st. See flyer for eligibility and apply at www.hsfmo.org (You must apply online. This is not a local scholarship.)
- Must have 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Must work at least 240 hours prior to entering college Fall 2023
- Must be a senior in class of 2023
- Must have family adjusted gross income on Federal Income taxes of less than $85,000

Seniors:
Any senior in the Class of 2023 interested in becoming a teacher and attending Valdosta State University, the Sullivan Scholarship has been refunded this year.
The Valdosta Sullivan Scholars Program awards college scholarships to high school seniors from high-poverty schools in rural Georgia; the scholarship covers tuition, books, housing, and meals.
We need your help in identifying qualified applicants who want to attend VSU, major in teacher education, and become K-12 teachers after graduation. Please see the eligibility requirements below.
Eligible students must:
Have a passion for becoming a teacher
Be in 12th grade in a rural Georgia high school
Qualify for PELL Grant (Must have FAFSA on file with VSU if accepted)
Be HOPE Eligible (4 rigor courses and 3.0 or higher HOPE GPA) or on track to become HOPE eligible by high school graduation
Be a U.S. Citizen

Seniors and Senior Parents. A representative from Georgia Student Finance will be at BCHS on Thursday, October 27th from 9am to 1pm in the Media Center to help you with the FAFSA (the federal financial aid form). Parents should check in at the front office in order to meet with the representative. Any senior planning to attend college should complete the FAFSA.

Congrats to all of our Brooks County High School Trojans who had a successful first nine weeks. We had many students who earned the 7 for 7 PBIS Reward, 70 earned "AB" Honor Roll, and 25 students earned ALL "A" Honor Roll.
