BCSD Police Department Training

As we gear up for the start of a new school year, we wanted to recognize a critical aspect of ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for our students. Our commitment to providing a safe space for your children includes the proper training of our School Resource Officers (SROs). To achieve this, police officers have been participating in rigorous and comprehensive training programs during the summer months.

The training focused on a variety of crucial areas:

  • De-escalation and Conflict Resolution
  • Legal and Ethical Guidelines
  • Response Plan for Active Shooters and Emergency Situations
  • Collaboration with Family Connections, Community, and Schools

Thank you for your continued trust and support in our efforts to provide the best possible education and a secure environment for your children.
