Congratulations to Brooks County High School teacher Lindsay Herring, who was asked to serve as the statewide Dance Instruction representative for the Georgia Department Of Education’s Fine Arts Professional Learning Community. Arts education in Georgia includes the study of dance, media arts, music, theatre/film, and visual arts. High school students have the opportunity to achieve a Fine Arts Diploma Seal while completing a Career Pathway in dance, music, theatre/film, and visual art. Ms. Herring serves as the Auxiliary coach for the Empire of Sound and the coach for the nationally ranked Trojanettes competitive dance line. She also teaches drama and dance during the regular school day.
