2024-25 Varsity Cheerleaders

Good eveneing BCHS Families, In light of the recent social media interest, we contacted Universal and begged them to allow us to bring our seniors. Luckily, they are allowing us to participate on our originally selected date of April 19th. However, we have a very small window for students to sign up and pay. It will cost $150 per senior, who is on track to graduate with no major disciplinary issues. Permission slips will be provided tomorrow, March 22, during advisement. We need all interested seniors to turn in their permission slips and money to Dr. Chastain by the end of the school next Wednesday, March 27th. Tentative Itinerary for April 19th: 10:00 am Depart BCHS 4:00 pm Enter Universal 2:00 am Depart Universal 6:00 am Arrive at BCHS

It was a heartwarming celebration of excellence and dedication within our school community. Trojan Families, Algebra students will be taking the Beacon Online Assessment tomorrow to check your Trojan's mastery of Algebra standards. We will use this assessment data to help prepare for the GMAS in May. Please have your student charge their Chromebook and bring it to school. Testing begins at 8:00 a.m. Encourage your student to #bringthathammeracademically

We're thrilled to announce that our very own board member, Dr. Thomas, is volunteering in our BCHS math classes! 📚 Not only did she lend her expertise, but she also brought some extra motivation along the way. 🛠️ Dr. Thomas handed out green hammers to those students who absolutely crushed their Geometry test! 🔢💯 These students are truly "bringing the hammer" academically in math, and we couldn't be more proud of their dedication and hard work. Keep shining, math stars! 🌟 👏 Let's also give a round of applause to Ms. Burns. She also received a well-deserved green hammer for her willingness to step outside her comfort zone to try some new strategies! 🔨🏆 You truly deserve this recognition! 🌟

🎶 BCHS students had an unforgettable lesson on the impact of music during the Vietnam War! 🎵 Ms. Gaston’s U.S. History class dove into the powerful role music played in shaping perspectives and fostering resistance during that time period. We LOVE Gaston’s passion for her content - we love an authentic learning experience with period dress and the old record player for the perfect touch! 🎤🌟 Thank you Ms. Gaston for bring this fun experience to our Trojans.

🏠The BCHS construction class students presented their innovative house plans to show how they put creativity and skills to work. We were also honored to have our board member, Dr. Diane Thomas join us to see firsthand the amazing opportunities our students have in construction education. 🛠️ Thank you Mr. Mitchell for exposing our students to these wonderful career opportunities.
