Patterson Named STAR Student

  Dr. Chris Chastain, principal of Brooks County High School, recently announced that Sherley Alexis Patterson was named STAR student for the graduating class of 2022.  Lexi named math teacher Anya Cain as the STAR teacher.  "I am pleased to have Lexi and Ms. Cain represent Brooks County High School as the STAR student and STAR teacher. Lexi is an exemplary student who gives 100% in the classroom and on the athletic fields. Her future is bright and I can't wait to see all that she accomplishes. Lexi and Ms. Cain both exhibit Trojan Pride in all they do, and make all of us extremely proud." stated Chastain.  Earlier in her senior  year, Lexi made a commitment to attend Valdosta State University where she will play softball for the Blazers. 

The PAGE Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. Since its creation in 1958 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program has honored nearly 28,500 students, who have in turn chosen their STAR Teachers to share in this recognition.
