Elementary School Teacher:
Education & Employment Experience Requirements: Applicants need to have a Bachelor’s degree (Or Foreign Equiv.) In Education and 2 Yrs experience in Teaching. Other Requirements/License and Certification: Applicant must have a State of Georgia Teaching License. Duties: An elementary school teacher educates academic and social skills students from kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade. Responsible for establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, safe learning environment conducive to learning and communicating proficiently with students. Responsible for implementing the district-adopted curriculum, preparing for assigned classes, providing lessons at designated times, and integrating appropriate use of technology. Administering tests following district testing protocol, giving progress reports, determining and supporting classroom behavior standards, and upholding district-adopted discipline policies. As required, planning and supervising assignments and activities for student teachers, teacher assistants, and volunteers. Advancing positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers and students. Responsible for meeting with students and parents to discuss education-related issues and attending staff meetings. Use computer literacy skills, different software, and technological advances in Teaching. Maintain required paperwork for individual student files, attendance, incident reports, and other records. Enforce all administration policies, safety, security standards, and student rules. Salary: $42,820/Year.
