Brooks County High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Students who qualify can participate in the Dual Enrollment program and attend college level academic and Career Technical Education courses with our partnering institutions in the area: Georgia Military College, Thomas University, Valdosta State University or Wiregrass Technical College. Students receive post-secondary credit hours as well as high school credits. Brooks County High School offers open access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses in all academic areas as well as a Career Technical Education course in Computer Science that can also count as a 4th Mathematics, 4th Science or when paired with Computer Science Principles can count as two units of a World Language which prepares them for University System of Georgia admission requirements. Brooks County High School offers the Advanced Via Individual Determination (AVID) program which is a college readiness program designated to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college and the global society. Brooks County High School offers a Career Technical Agriculture Education (CTAE) program with an array of pathways geared towards student's career interests as well as the economic development of Brooks County. Students with CTAE pathways may enroll in a Work Based Learning (WBL) program which allows students to participate in real-life work experiences while applying academic and technical skills to develop employability.

Students are offered many extracurricular activities to further stimulate and educate.
