Brooks County Schools

Principal Cisco Diaz is excitedly awaiting the return of students to the campus of Quitman Elementary.  Mr. Diaz stated, “We will continue to focus on and promote a positive climate within the school.”  With fifteen years of experience as an educator, Diaz has served students as a teacher, assistant principal and principal.  He and wife, Laura have two children.  In his leisure time, Mr. Diaz enjoys outdoor activities including camping, hunting, and deep sea fishing.  Mrs. Melissa Alexander and Mrs. Hilda Edgerton will join Mr. Diaz as assistant principals.  Mrs. Alexander has served the students of Brooks County for 18 years. Her service includes  classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal.  Alexander and her husband, Tracy, have a daughter, McKenzie.  She enjoys fishing, beach vacations and HGTV. New to Quitman Elementary this year is Mrs. Edgerton.  She brings a wealth of experience to Quitman Elementary.  She has served as a teacher and assistant principal.  Mrs. Edgerton and her late husband have three children.  She enjoys spending time with family and close friends, spa days, and signing with her children.
