Glasscock named ELC TOTY

Kristi Glasscock was recently named as Brooks County Schools Early Learning Center’s Teacher of the Year.  A graduate of Cook County High School, Ms. Glasscock graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University.  She has been a teacher for Brooks County Schools for 4 years.  Ms. Glasscock is the sister of Erica Le and John Marin.  She is the doting aunt of Sadie Kate, John Kaise, Adalyn, Dawn Marie, Sophie, Felix, Tosha, Breanna, Alyssa, Justin, and Andrew.   “I love seeing those “ah-ha” moments in the eyes of my students when they discover something new.  Pre-K students say what they mean and mean what they say!  That keeps the day interesting!” said Glasscock.  Principal Selena Harden stated, “Kristi Glasscock loves teaching Pre-K!  The smile on her face when her students grasp new concepts or the laughter that radiates from her when she is simply enjoying her time with her students is priceless.  This year her students have grown leaps and bounds because of the creative ways she implements curriculum into the classroom.  Ms. Glasscock is a leader among her peers and is always willing to help whenever and where ever needed.”  Ms. Glasscock will represent her school in the district Teacher of the Year competition.
